Glistening in a hammered gold finish, this 3/4 oz (21 g) metal jig reflects the legacy of R. L. Hopkins, who began forging these lures from solid stainless steel in 1949 to withstand the rigors of salt-water environments. Measuring 2 1/2" (6.5 cm) in length, the Shorty 75 model features a dense, aerodynamic body designed to handle long-distance casting or deep-water jigging. This specimen, identified by product code 11237, is in unused condition and remains within its original blister packaging. Its textured surface is intentionally crafted to mimic baitfish scales while providing a solid, corrosion-resistant body that doesn't sacrifice strength for shine. A sturdy Mustad treble hook is secured by a heavy-duty stainless steel split ring, ensuring it remains connected even when targeting trophy-sized gamefish in either fresh or salt-water. The card backing provides instructions for various techniques, including jigging near the bottom or trolling at steady speeds to find the most natural swimming depth.
