Hay Manufacturing Company
The late 1940's through the mid 1950's, Hay Manufacturing
Company, of 1231 Milwaukee Avenue, Racine, Wisconsin
made several uniquely shaped metal baits. The 4-1/8' chrome-
finished FIN-SPIN Actually, a lure that was the oldest of this company's
manufacture was a metal spoon simply called TAILS. This
3-1/2", fish-shaped spoon had red facet plastic eyes and was
sold on a card, whereas the other three lures were sold in
plastic boxes. The card indicated, "This lure design was handed
down by the Indians to the old time commercial fishermen
along the Fox River Valley."
