LGH Finland
The LGH lure is a lure originally developed by Leo Gunnar Hacklin and intended primarily for salmon and trout fishing .
The original lure models were:
Junior (2 sizes, 2 and 3 hooks)
Neptune (2 sizes, 2 and 3 hooks)
Vendace (several sizes)
Thumbelina and Old Thumbelina
Since then, the models have also included Ahti , Akka-Peukaloinen , Gunnar and Hai . The most common LGH wobblers are Muikku, Peukaloinen and Ukko-peukaloinen. After Leo Gunnar retired, the business was continued by Tapani Ahonen . Since then, the business has been taken over by Jarmo Rapala , who continues to make LGH lures. Jarmo is the grandson of Lauri Rapala and the son of Esko Rapala .
The old wobblers made by Leo are collector's items, good condition old wobblers are rarely seen for sale, so it is quite difficult to determine a price for them. Jarmo Rapala still sells new lures under the LGH brand. [ 1 ] .
The old lures made by Leo used at least three different foil surfaces. The so-called embossed pattern, the embossed pattern and the star pattern. The first wobblers also had other types of foil coatings.
