Polished to a high-shine nickel finish, this vintage weedless spoon reflects the innovative design principles established by Johnnie O’Neil in 1957. The distinctive propeller wing at the head of the frame was a key feature of the 1962 patent O’Neil secured during his time in Akron, Ohio, before the brand eventually moved to Harrison Industries. Weighing 1/2oz (14g), the lure utilizes a heavy-duty single hook protected by a long, spring-steel weed guard designed for casting directly into dense vegetation. The body measures 2 3/4" (7cm) and bears the original "Weed Wing" and "USA" stampings on the convex side.
