Worth

The Worth Company
The Worth Company was founded in 1940 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, USA, by Canadian immigrant, metal craftsman, and passionate angler Joseph Worth.
Early Years and Specialization: The company began as a modest manufacturer of fly fishing tackle. However, Worth quickly established itself due to its meticulous craftsmanship and precision in manufacturing metal components.
Innovation and Legacy: The Worth Company is credited as an American manufacturing pioneer for the mass production of split rings, which are ubiquitous in the fishing industry today. By the late 1980s, Worth also produced its own finished lures, the most famous of which were the topwater lure Flutter Fin and spinning lures like the Worth #301.
In the late 1980s, Worth made the strategic decision to discontinue the production of its own line of finished lures to focus exclusively on manufacturing components (OEM) for the wider industry.
Today, The Worth Company remains a leading global manufacturer of high-quality fishing lure components (swivels, blades, split rings, wire forms), turning its former competitors into valued customers.
