Weighing in at 1/4oz (7g), the teardrop-shaped body of this classic casting spoon features a distinctive hammered brass finish on one half of the convex side. The opposite half is coated in a vibrant fluorescent red paint, creating a high-contrast pattern that Acme became well-known for in their early USA production runs. This specimen, identified by product code 22248, measures a compact 1 1/2" (3.5cm) in length. On the smooth, polished reverse side, the 'NO 2 STEE-LEE' stamp is deeply and clearly impressed into the metal, a hallmark of Acme’s precision manufacturing in their American factory. The hardware remains robust, featuring original split rings and a sharp bronze treble hook. At a condition rating of 5/5, the metal surfaces show exceptional luster and the painted section remains crisp and well-adhered. Anglers typically utilize the Stee-Lee's compact profile for targeting trout or smallmouth in varied environments.
