Aquasonic Lures

Aquasonic Lures

Aquasonic Lures Inc.

The company developed lures featuring a unique "self-resonating system" — an effect provided by special holes in the wobbler (crankbait) that allow water to pass through. The manufacturer claimed that the lures "speak" a language that predators understand perfectly.

Aquasonic Lures Inc. was founded in the early 1970s by Joe Patrick Hall. Cibolo, Texas,  USA.

The main product that embodied the company's philosophy was the plastic wobbler Aquasonic Deep Baby Noisy. It was patented in 1976, and the patent was valid until 1996.

The innovation patented by Hall involved creating lures that let water pass through their bodies during retrieval.

Internal chambers and channels force water to enter and exit the lure through special openings. This process creates unique sounds and vibrations that are fundamentally different from those generated by conventional wobblers.

All swimming lures, regardless of size, cause vibrations in the water due to their movement. However, by allowing water to pass through chambers or channels, Aquasonic created an “other sound”  an additional acoustic signal that more effectively attracts fish, mimicking a wounded or actively moving prey. This transformed the Aquasonic Deep Baby Noisy into a truly scientific lure that engaged predators not only through its appearance but also through its unique "conversation" in the water.
