Museum Archive: Vintage Prescott Spinner Baby Bat, 1/2oz Black / Gold fishing spoon #5435

A hefty 1/2 oz (14 g) weight gives this metal attractor plenty of substance despite its small 1 1/2" (3.5 cm) frame. Produced by the Prescott Spinner company in the USA, the Baby Bat (product code 5435) utilizes a distinct bat-wing silhouette that is a hallmark of this vintage design. The top surface is finished in a striking Black / Gold pattern, featuring large gold scales stamped over a dark, textured base. Flipping the lure reveals a solid matte black underside with a central vertical stabilizing fin integrated directly into the stamped metal body. The hardware is exceptionally well-preserved, featuring a robust double hook attached to the rear eyelet. This specimen earns a 5/5 condition rating, showing very little of the wear often seen on these vintage US-made casting lures. The gold circular scale pattern remains crisp and bright against the darker backdrop.
