Museum Archive: Vintage Bagley's Fat Cat, 1/3oz TS fishing lure #7481

Tipping the scales at 1/3oz (9g), this vintage specimen represents a classic era of American lure making from the Bagley workshops. The TS color pattern features a striking metallic gold-to-silver transition on the sides, topped with a detailed dark scale mesh along the back. Measuring exactly 2" (5cm) in length, this Bagley's Fat Cat carries Product Code 7481 and is engineered as a floating rattle-lure for casting down to depths of 5ft - 6.5ft (1.5m - 2m). This particular example is in excellent condition, rated 5/5, with the original clear finish on the diving lip and a bright orange-red highlight under the chin. The yellow eyes with black pupils are set cleanly against the metallic finish, and the hardware remains bright. Its wide-bodied profile is characteristic of the series, designed to create a specific presence in the water column when retrieved. The scaling on the upper half is crisp, transitioning smoothly into the polished silver of the lower belly.
