Bass Buster — Missouri Lures and Beetle Spins

Bass Buster operated in Amsterdam, Missouri. Established by Virgil Ward, the company manufactured lures designed for freshwater angling. Among the items in the catalog was the Beetle Spin, which paired a safety-pin style spinner frame with a soft plastic grub body. This configuration allowed for the removal and replacement of the soft plastic component while retaining the wire frame and blade.
The company produced various jigs and components. The product line included the Marabou Jig, which featured natural feathers for the tail material. Bass Buster also offered weedless jigs equipped with fiber guards to prevent the hook from snagging on submerged vegetation. The assortment further contained separate jig heads and different styles of soft plastic trailers used as additions to other lures.
