Museum Archive: Vintage Blue Fox Flash Deep Runner, 3/16oz Shad spinning lure #8402

A textured shad scale pattern covers both the lead body and the willow-leaf blade of this Blue Fox Flash Deep Runner 8402. Weighing 3/16 oz (6 g), the lure features a blue back and pale yellow belly, accented by a distinct black eye on the baitfish-shaped head. The 2 1/4" (6 cm) frame is built around a sturdy wire core, typical of the high manufacturing standards found in Finland-made tackle. While the exterior of the blade displays the mesh-like scale graphic, the reverse side is polished silver to provide a bright flash in the water. Hardware includes a secure treble hook and an integrated front swivel designed for efficient rigging. This specimen remains in excellent 5/5 condition, with the paint and finish appearing vibrant and well-preserved.
