Museum Archive: Blue Fox Pixee, 1/2oz Green / Gold (24 Carat Gold Plated) fishing spoon #6920

Hammered 24-carat gold plating covers the heavy brass body of this 1/2 oz (14 g) spoon, providing the density required for reaching distance in coastal winds or deep river holes. This Blue Fox Pixee, cataloged as product code 6920, features the classic textured green egg-sac insert designed to mimic natural roe and trigger strikes from salmon, steelhead, and trout. Measuring 2 1/4" (5.5 cm) in length, the specimen comes factory-equipped with a black nickel Rapala VMC treble hook, and the original packaging includes a spare siwash hook for use in single-hook regulated waters. Tracing its heritage back to the National Expert Bait Co. before becoming a staple of the Blue Fox line, the lure is unused and remains in its original blister pack, which shows some light softening and wear at the card corners.
