A hammered gold-plated finish covers the 2 1/2" (6.5cm) heavy-gauge brass body of this vintage specimen. Centered within the metal is the signature pink simulated salmon egg insert, a hallmark of the Pixee design used to trigger strikes from salmon and steelhead. Identified by product code 7191, the lure weighs 3/4oz (24g) and features a clean stamp on the reverse side noting the Blue Fox Pixee name along with 01-40 and 7/8 markings. The hardware is in excellent 5/5 condition, showing well-preserved surfaces and a robust treble hook suited for heavy-duty freshwater or saltwater use. Originally a staple of the National Expert Bait company before becoming part of the Blue Fox lineup, this USA-made spoon is weighted for distance, allowing it to reach deep pockets in river currents or navigate the surf in coastal winds.
