Black and yellow striped patterns immediately identify this vintage Boone Fly popper as a classic "bee" imitation for the fly rod enthusiast. Measuring 1 1/4" (3 cm) in length, this specimen hails from the Boone Bait Company’s history in Winter Park, Florida. The construction features a cupped popping face designed to disturb the surface, accented by a blend of brown and black feathers that remain in pristine shape. This particular lure, bearing product code 20540, is unused and remains attached to its original black cardstock backing. The reverse of the packaging still shows the company's address and the "F6" model designation handwritten in pen. The white eyes with red centers are a hallmark of the period, providing a high-contrast target for panfish or small bass. Each detail, from the metal hanging eyelet to the clear plastic wrap, has been kept intact.
