Heavier than it looks at 1/4 oz (7 g), the solid rubber construction of this specimen is a hallmark of the Burke Flexo-Products Company’s work from the mid-20th century. Carrying the product code 10129, the lure features a high-contrast black and white mottled pattern designed to stand out in the water. A sturdy metal diving lip is pinned to the front to pull the floating rubber body down during a steady retrieve. Measuring 2 1/4" (6 cm) in length, the body retains its original 'Big Dig' and 'Burke' stamps clearly on the sides. The hardware shows light signs of use from previous adventures, resulting in a condition rating of 3/5. A single treble hook is securely mounted beneath the belly, making this a complete example of Michigan-made fishing history.
