Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap

Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap is a sinking, rattling hardbait built around sound, vibration, and coverage. Its noise chamber is notably loud—loud enough to be heard even through a boat’s hull—and that sharp rattle pairs with a strong vibration to draw aggressive strikes, including from fish that are otherwise passive.
In the water, it’s a fast-sinking lure that’s meant to be moved in more than one way. It casts very far, then gets down quickly, which helps when you want to comb big stretches efficiently. That same build also makes it workable for vertical jigging in the cold months, when fish stack tight to cover at depth or settle into wintering holes.
Water clarity doesn’t box this lure in. Rat-L-Trap is especially effective in stained or muddy water, yet it’s also used with success in clear water. Anglers put it to work for perch, pike, and zander.
