Museum Archive: Vintage Cotton Cordell Crazy Shad, 1/3oz fishing lure #14840

Weighed at a solid 1/3 oz (9 g), the balance of this Cotton Cordell classic is immediately apparent when held in hand. It features two sharp treble hooks and a robust 2 3/4" (7 cm) body specifically designed for surface casting at a depth of 0 ft (0 m). The silver chrome finish on the upper half transitions into a fine, textured scale pattern along the lower belly, a hallmark of the USA-made Crazy Shad line. Rated at a 4/5, the lure remains in very clean condition, retaining its bright reflectivity. A subtle touch of red paint near the eye loop provides a classic visual trigger, working in tandem with the signature painted yellow eyes. This specimen, identified by product code 14840, was built to handle hard-hitting perch and pike on topwater.
