Museum Archive: Cotton Cordell Wally Diver, 1/2oz Chartreuse fishing lure #7499

Reaching depths between 9-11 ft (2.7-3.3 m) when cast and up to 14-18 ft (4.3-5.5 m) while trolling, this specimen is dressed in a classic Chartreuse pattern featuring dark vertical stripes and a bold orange eye. The 3 1/4" (8 cm) body is weighted at 1/2 oz (14 g) for stable deep-water presentation. Designated by product code 7499, this Cotton Cordell Wally Diver is unused and remains in its original green and red "Grande Plongée" packaging. The clear, elongated diving lip is fixed to the head to facilitate steep descents during the retrieve. According to the vintage carding, this piece was assembled in El Salvador. The lure is rigged with two treble hooks and a line-tie ring on the diving bill.
