Museum Archive: Vintage C.P. Swing CP-Swing 5, 1/4oz Brass spinning lure #3635

Graduated brass beads form the weighted body of this French-made spinner, providing the necessary ballast for casting. At a weight of 1/4 oz (7 g) and a total length of 2 1/2" (6.5 cm), it represents the larger size 5 in the traditional C.P. Swing lineup. The brass blade is a standout feature, bearing a stamped scale pattern on the convex side alongside the clear "Made in France" mark. This specimen, listed under product code 3635, features a smooth finish on the underside of the blade and a sturdy wire-through construction. The hardware includes a sharp treble hook, which is attached via a secure wire loop at the tail end of the bead sequence. Rated at 5/5 condition, the metal surfaces are clean and the stampings remain crisp and legible.
