The single hook is guarded by a wire weed-guard and adorned with a vibrant yellow feather teaser secured by a tight wrap of red thread at the eye. On the concave side of the metal, you can clearly see the stamped "CRIPPLED ALEWIVE" name along with its USA origin, a mark of mid-century American manufacturing.
