Bold black spots and a vibrant red central stripe characterize the Orange Potato Bug pattern on this classic spoon. Carrying the product code 17436, the Dardevle Cop-E-Cat 7400 (Imp) weighs exactly 1/2 oz (14 g). Measuring 2 1/2" (6.5 cm) in length, the lure features the solid construction Eppinger has utilized since Lou Eppinger started hand-making lures in Detroit in 1906. The specimen is unused and remains in its original packaging, preserving the factory finish and the sharp treble hook. The Imp designation refers to this specific mid-size casting weight, and as indicated by the label, it features a polished Nickel Back. Eppinger moved production to Dearborn, Michigan, in 1959, and their proprietary dies still create that iconic concave surface suited for casting or trolling. For clear water situations, the combination of the light-colored orange face and the reflective nickel back provides a balance of visibility and flash.
