Stamped clearly on the nickel-finished reverse with "DARDEVLET DETROIT U.S.A.", this 3/4oz (21g) spoon represents the classic Eppinger craftsmanship from their original Michigan location. The 2 3/4" (7 cm) body features the legendary red and white striped enamel, accented by the small devil head logo that collectors prize. This specimen, carrying product code 4012, is in 5/5 condition, showing well-preserved paint and clean hardware. Because the stamp identifies Detroit as the origin, we know this lure was manufactured before the company moved to Dearborn in 1959. The weight and length make it a versatile choice for casting into deeper structures or for trolling. Lou Eppinger's design utilizes a deep concave shape to create a steady wobbling movement that has stayed effective for over a century.
