Measuring 3 1/2" (9 cm) in length, this casting spoon displays the signature diagonal red-and-white striping that has defined Eppinger's legacy for over a century. The concave reverse is stamped with "DARDEVLE DETROIT, U.S.A.," a detail that points to its heritage before the manufacturer moved operations to Dearborn in 1959. At 1oz (28 g), the heavy gauge metal is built for long-distance casting and staying deep during a steady retrieve. The front face shows light paint loss and scuffing from use, earning a solid 4/5 condition rating that reflects its history in an active tackle box. Its construction features a strong treble hook attached via a split ring, paired with a classic nickel-plated back to provide flash in varied water conditions. This specimen, identified by product code 9366, remains a prime example of the American-made hardware that Lou Eppinger first crafted in his Detroit basement.
