Weighing in at exactly 1 oz (28 g), this classic spoon is a substantial choice for long-distance casting in pursuit of pike or big trout. Measuring 3 1/2" (9 cm) in length, the solid metal body is finished with the legendary "Red Devle" pattern, featuring a vibrant red field bisected by a white diagonal stripe. Right on that stripe, you can see the distinctive black devil head logo, a hallmark of the Eppinger brand. The silver-finished concave side is clearly stamped with "DEARBORN MI.," identifying its origins after the company’s 1959 move from Detroit. This specimen, identified by Product Code 18559, shows honest character from previous outings, with some visible paint chipping on the edges that places it at a 4/5 condition rating. It carries its original heavy-duty treble hook, secured by a reliable split ring at the tail. The thickness of the metal provides the necessary ballast for reaching deeper water columns where larger predators hold. Every detail on this lure, from the stamp depth to the specific shade of red, reflects the American manufacturing standards that Lou Eppinger established over a century ago.
