A stamped "DEVLE-DOG 7700 DETROIT U.S.A." mark on the polished nickel backside anchors the historical identity of this Eppinger classic. The front face displays a light blue finish decorated with a silver honeycomb scale pattern and the recognizable black devil head icon. Measuring 2 1/4" (5.5 cm) in length and weighing 1/2 oz (14 g), the Dardevle Devle Dog 7700, cataloged under product code 15188, is a substantial casting spoon. This particular specimen is in 5/5 condition, retaining its high-gloss finish and clear, deep-struck lettering. The hardware includes a heavy-duty split ring paired with a standard treble hook. Its concave profile is engineered for a consistent wobble during various retrieval speeds, a design Lou Eppinger refined in his Detroit basement starting back in 1906.
