Stamped clearly on the concave side with the hallmark "KING FLUTTER DEVLE," this Eppinger spoon carries the legacy of Detroit manufacturing that began in 1906. Measuring 4" (10 cm) in length and weighing 1/3 oz (9 g), the thin, elongated profile is purpose-built for trolling. The Nickel finish remains exceptionally bright, providing the high-visibility flash needed when fishing clear water. This specimen, identified by product code 2262, features a sturdy treble hook and a nose-mounted brass swivel ready for the water. The condition is a solid 5/5, presenting a clean, mirror-like surface across the entire body. The Detroit, U.S.A. stamping indicates this piece was produced before the company's 1959 move to Dearborn, making it a fine example of mid-century tackle. Its signature oblong shape was formed using Eppinger’s proprietary dies, ensuring the specific weight distribution required for steady movement behind a boat.
