Museum Archive: Vintage Eppinger Dardevle Osprey Notangle Spinner, 3/16oz Red / White / Nickel spinning lure #12200

Red and white stripes cover the face of the blade, which is paired with the unmistakable devil head graphic synonymous with the Dardevle lineage. This Osprey Notangle Spinner, carrying Product Code 12200, measures 2 1/4" (6cm) and is weighted at 3/16oz (5g) via a tapered nickel-finished body. On the underside, the blade is clearly stamped with "OSPREY 2000" into the polished nickel surface. A faceted red bead and a smaller dark bead are positioned on the wire frame just above the body, while the treble hook is finished with a distinct red plastic sleeve. Produced by Eppinger, whose history traces back to Lou Eppinger's early 20th-century Detroit workshop, this American-made specimen remains in 5/5 condition. The hardware is clean and the paint on the blade retains its original high-contrast finish.
