Stamped with the unmistakable 'DARDEVLE SKEETER U.S.A.' mark on its polished concave side, this 1" (2.3 cm) spoon represents the smaller side of the Eppinger lineup. Weighing in at 1/16 oz (2 g), the lure is dressed in the classic Black Devle finish, featuring a bold white center stripe against a deep black background. This specific color scheme was traditionally recommended for its versatility, providing a strong silhouette regardless of water clarity. The specimen is in 5/5 condition, maintaining a brilliant surface and a sharp, original treble hook attached by a sturdy split ring. Eppinger has utilized proprietary dies to maintain this specific oblong geometry since the company's early days in Detroit, ensuring each Skeeter matches the original specifications of Lou Eppinger's early 20th-century designs. Designed for casting or light trolling, its compact metal body is built to handle panfish and trout alike. Item 21038 features a clean line-tie hole at the tapered nose, ready for a direct tie or a small snap.
