Adorning the concave face of this 1 3/4" (4.5 cm) spoon is the unmistakable black devil logo, a symbol of Eppinger's long-standing American heritage. This Dardevle Spinnie, identified by product code 15018, features the classic red and white striped pattern that has remained a tackle box staple since Lou Eppinger began crafting lures in his Detroit basement in 1906. Weighing in at 1/3 oz (9 g), the metal body transitions to a polished nickel-plated back where the "DARDEVLE SPINNIE U.S.A." identification is deeply and cleanly stamped. The specimen is in 5/5 condition, showing remarkably well-preserved paint and a bright, reflective finish on the reverse. The original treble hook remains securely attached by a sturdy split ring at the trailing edge. For anglers working through clear water, the flash from the nickel underside provides a natural contrast to the bold pigments on top. This mid-sized spoon represents the legacy of a company that moved to Dearborn, Michigan, in 1959, continuing a tradition of quality so respected that these lures were once included in aviation survival kits.
