Striped in the iconic red and white pattern, this 2 1/4" (5.5 cm) specimen features the famous devil head logo printed clearly on the white paint. Identified by product code 22544, this "Imp" model from the 1950s weighs 2/5 oz (11 g), making it a versatile choice for mid-century casting setups. The front surface shows honest wear with paint chipping along the edges and within the red stripes, revealing the metal beneath and resulting in a 4/5 condition rating. On the reverse, the metal is stamped with "DARDEVLE'S" "IMP" U.S.A., a mark of quality from Lou Eppinger’s Detroit-born company. The hardware consists of a single split ring holding a treble hook that shows a light aged finish. This specific lure reflects the production period before the company moved to Dearborn in 1959. The concave shape of the spoon body is engineered for stability during a steady retrieve, a hallmark of the Eppinger design since its inception in 1906. Small paint losses on the tip and sides confirm its history in a tackle box.
