Measuring just 1" (2.5 cm) in length, this 1/16 oz (1.6 g) Fred Arbogast Hula Popper is a quintessential specimen of ultralight topwater design. The 'Frog' color pattern on this 6241 product code model is remarkably well-preserved, displaying a vibrant yellow base that transitions into a rich green top surface, all accented by large, distinct black spots. Its deep, cupped mouth is finished in a bold red, a functional design characteristic intended for surface displacement. Attached to the midsection and rear are the original-style rubber strands, an innovation Fred Arbogast pioneered in 1941 to provide life-like movement through the 'breathing' action of the skirt even when the lure remains stationary. The white side legs and yellow tail skirt on this particular unit are in excellent shape, maintaining their intended form. This USA-made lure is presented in 5/5 condition, showing the high quality of the paint and the durability of the rubber components used during this era.
