Weighted at 3/16oz (5g), the teardrop profile of this vintage spoon is defined by a crisp vertical color division. Half of the front surface is coated in a saturated blue, while the remaining half is finished in a bright, reflective nickel. On the reverse, the metal is clearly stamped with 'LITTLE EGYPT HERTER'S JAPAN', providing a direct link to the famous Minnesota company's era of quality Japanese imports. Measuring 1 1/4" (3cm) in length, the lure is equipped with its original silver-colored treble hook and sturdy split rings. This specimen, assigned product code 23700, is in 5/5 condition, showing a complete lack of storage wear on both the painted and plated surfaces. The tapered design was a staple in mid-century tackle boxes for light-tackle casting and vertical presentations for panfish.
