Museum Archive: Johnson Sprite, 1/4oz Nickel / Yellow fishing spoon #1330

Weighing in at 1/4oz (7g), this specimen represents a classic era for the Johnson Sprite line. The 2" (5cm) spoon features a distinctive yellow face peppered with bold red dots over a polished nickel base. A notable feature is the red plastic attractor tab attached to the split ring, which provides a visual trigger near the treble hook. Unlike modern iterations currently produced in China, this lure is an authentic USA-made product, still housed in its original "Genuine Johnson Spoons" blister pack. Identified by product code 1330, the construction is solid enough for long casts while maintaining the profile necessary for targeting various freshwater species. As an unused item, the paint and nickel finish are exceptionally clean, preserved exactly as they left the factory.
