Museum Archive: Vintage Acme K.O. Wobbler , 1/2oz Gold fishing spoon #15514

Weighing in at 1/2 oz (14 g), this Acme classic features a distinct teardrop shape designed for long-distance casting or vertical jigging in deeper water. The 1 3/4" (4.5 cm) body is finished in a polished gold plating, accented by a bold stripe of fluorescent orange along one edge. As evidenced in the secondary low-light capture, this stripe reacts to UV light, providing a high-visibility glow that assists in low-light conditions or stained water. A small brass flipper is attached at the rear split ring alongside the silver-tone treble hook, adding a unique structural element to the lure's profile. This specimen, assigned product code 15514, is in 4/5 condition, maintaining a very bright finish and sharp hook points from its original USA production. Acme developed this particular design to provide anglers with a heavy-profile spoon that sinks quickly through the water column.
