Museum Archive: Vintage Kuusamo, 1/2oz Mirror Silver fishing lure #6659

Mirror Silver scales shimmer from within the transparent body of this vintage Finnish creation. Originating from the workshops of Kuusamo, this discontinued model is a floating, rattling lure that holds a special place among northern European tackle collectors. Weighing 1/2oz (14g) and measuring 4" (10cm), the bait is identified by product code 6659. Its construction features a dark-colored back that contrasts with the highly reflective internal foil, which is textured to mimic natural scales. Large, lifelike eyes with golden centers are set just above the clear, L-shaped diving lip. The hardware remains in excellent shape, featuring two sharp treble hooks. At a condition rating of 5/5, the lure appears exceptionally well-maintained, retaining its original clarity and structural integrity. The internal rattle chamber provides an auditory dimension to the design, a hallmark of these rare Kuusamo variants.
