Dual-tone plating in nickel and copper defines this classic Lake Clear Wabbler LCW1, offering a versatile flash for deep-water trolling. Weighing 2/5 oz (11 g) with a length of 3 1/4" (8 cm), this specimen from Williams carries the 19061 product code and represents a design legacy spanning over a century. The blade is stamped with the Gilbertsville, N.Y. location, a nod to the lure’s origin where it was first fashioned from a car headlight by guide H. Robare in 1920. Presenting in 4/5 condition, the metal surfaces are clean and reflective, showing only light indications of previous use. It is equipped with robust split rings at both ends, traditionally rigged with a leader of 12 to 18 inches (30.5 to 45.7 cm) to trail a nightcrawler or a secondary lure for Lake Trout and Rainbows. The heavy-gauge metal helps the spoon maintain its presence in the water column when trolled at the steady speeds required for technical trout fishing.
