Polished nickel covers the convex side of this classic 1/2 oz (14 g) casting spoon, revealing hints of the copper base beneath. Measuring 2 1/4" (5.5 cm) in length, this specimen represents the original Seneca Lure production from the USA, long before the design was acquired by Acme in the early 1980s. What makes this piece particularly sought after is the iconic 'Hula Girl' dancer stamped onto the back, a detail that disappeared from later commercial iterations. Many veteran anglers swear that the presence of the dancer is the secret ingredient behind the lure's legendary status in the tackle box. The hardware includes a sturdy split ring and a treble hook with a brass-colored shank wrap. With a condition rating of 3/5, the metal shows some visible signs of use and age-related character, though the structural integrity remains solid for both display and casting. A single mounting hole is drilled at the narrow head of the spoon for line attachment.
