Stamping of the iconic 'Hula Girl' figure on the reverse side immediately identifies this 1/2 oz (14 g) spoon as a classic Little Cleo from the original Seneca era. Measuring 2 1/4" (5.5 cm), this specimen features a two-tone nickel and brass finish that displays the honest character of a well-traveled tackle box, earning it a 3/5 condition rating. Before the early 1980s acquisition by Acme Tackle, the Seneca Tackle Company out of New York produced these with the detailed dancer engraving—an addition inspired by an exotic dancer songwriter C.V. 'Charlie' Clark saw in the 1930s. Many veteran anglers still swear that the presence of the dancer logo is a good luck charm for Great Lakes trout and salmon. This specific lure, identified by product code 24443, carries the classic heavy-gauge hardware and a treble hook secured by a strong split ring. The brass base metal peeks through the nickel plating on the convex side, offering a distinct visual contrast that differs from modern reissues.
