Museum Archive: Luhr Jensen Quiver, 1 1/3oz Gray / Orange fishing spoon #11781

Weighing in at 1 1/3 oz (39g), the gray and orange Quiver features a specialized brass core encased in an outer foam shell. Luhr Jensen produced this 4" (10cm) casting flutter spoon (Product Code 11781) in Hood River, Oregon, with an asymmetrical profile designed to prevent spinning during fast retrieves. This particular specimen is unused, remaining in its original red and yellow blister packaging which highlights the intricate scale pattern on the metallic silver-gray face. When paused in the water, the lure is designed to flutter and sink between 1 and 5 feet (0.3m to 1.5m) to simulate a wounded baitfish. The large treble hook is attached via a heavy-duty split ring to the base of the spoon's tapered tail.
