Produced by the Marathon Bait Company of Wisconsin, which operated between 1929 and 1979, this 2 1/4" (6 cm) specimen under product code 3002 demonstrates the brand's innovative approach to terminal tackle. Weighing 2/5 oz (12 g), the nickel-plated body is uniquely rigged with two small, elongated sonic blades attached to the split rings alongside the treble hook. These silver petals are positioned to reflect light, effectively obscuring the hook point while mimicking the visual flash of a forage fish's tail fin. The lure is in 4/5 condition, showing slight honest wear that preserves its historic appeal. Clear "Marathon" stampings are present on the reverse side of the main spoon and on the individual sonic blades.
