Two small, elongated sonic blades are attached via split rings near the tail of this 3 3/4" (9.5cm) spoon, a signature design element from the Marathon Bait Company. Bearing the product code 4700, this specimen weighs in at 3/5oz (17g) and features a bright nickel finish on its backside. The convex side is layered with a textured prismatic tape showcasing alternating diagonal bands of gold and red. Produced by the Wisconsin-based manufacturer that operated from 1929 to 1979, the lure is designed so the secondary blades add visual depth near the treble hook. This specific piece is in well-preserved condition, earning a 4/5 rating with clear stampings still visible on the metal. The underside of the spoon body is stamped with the Marathon name and a size indicator, matching the branding found on the individual sonic blades.
