Eight bold black spots over red accents dot the vibrant yellow face of this vintage casting spoon. Measuring 2 1/4" (6 cm) and weighing in at 2/5 oz (12 g), this specimen from the Marathon Bait Company features a unique arrangement of two silver-finished sonic blades attached near the tail. These small, elongated blades are designed to catch and reflect light right where the sharp treble hook is positioned. Turning the lure over reveals a classic nickel-plated back, deeply stamped with the "MARATHON" name in an arc, a hallmark of the manufacturer that operated out of Wisconsin from 1929 to 1979. Assigned product code 5410, the lure shows light signs of its history with minor surface marks near the line tie and tail, earning it a 4/5 condition rating. The hardware, including the split rings and the dark-finished treble hook, remains robust and intact.
