Gold-finished metal forms the foundation of this 2 1/4" (6 cm) casting spoon, a fine example of mid-century American craftsmanship. Two silver-toned sonic blades are mounted on the rear split ring alongside the treble hook, designed to catch light and provide visual stimulation near the strike zone. Stamped clearly on the inner concave surface is the Marathon name, the mark of a Wisconsin-based company that led the state's tackle production from 1929 until 1979. This specific specimen, identified as Product Code 6286, weighs 2/5 oz (12 g) and remains in 5/5 condition. The build features a wide line-tie eyelet at the nose, suitable for heavy monofilament or wire leaders. Darker hardware on the treble hook provides a stark contrast to the polished gold of the spoon body.
