Stamped clearly into the polished nickel underside, the Marathon name represents the craftsmanship of a Wisconsin-based manufacturer that operated for fifty years between 1929 and 1979. Weighing 2/5oz (12g), this spoon features a vibrant green painted top side highlighted by a faceted yellow prismatic tape insert designed to catch the light. The 2 1/4" (6cm) frame, identified by product code 9911, is equipped with a specialized hardware configuration: two movable mini-blades attached to the rear split ring. These sonic blades provide extra visual flash and subtle mechanical movement to imitate the tail fin of a baitfish while partially masking the treble hook. This particular specimen is in exceptional 5/5 condition, displaying a very clean painted surface and bright, well-preserved metal components.
