Stamped with the historic "British French Pat" markings, the copper blade of this Aglia size 0 serves as a prime example of Andre Meulnart’s 1938 French design. This specific specimen, cataloged under product code 0129, weighs 3/32 oz (2.5 g) and measures 1 3/4" (4.5 cm) in total length. The copper finish remains bright and clear, paired with a precision brass clevis and multi-part brass body beads. Its condition is 5/5, showing a beautifully preserved surface and sharp, clean hardware. A distinct red plastic sleeve is fitted over the shank of the treble hook, a classic visual trigger designed to provide a focal point during the retrieve. While the essential components were manufactured in France, the final assembly of this unit took place in the USA, representing the era when Todd Sheldon popularized these spinners in Wisconsin. The blade is clearly stamped with the Mepps logo and the size "0" designation, reflecting the high manufacturing standards required for the lure's signature cone rotation system.
