Weighing in at 3/32oz (2.5g), the brass blade on this spinner features crisp stamping that identifies its French origins. The Mepps Aglia 0 is a legendary design, and this unit, cataloged under product code 10558, measures 1 3/4" (4.5cm) in total length. Stamped into the gold-toned metal are the words "MEPPS AGLIA" and "BRITISH FRENCH PAT.," with "MADE IN FRANCE" clearly visible on the reverse. The body is constructed with a solid brass round bead and two conical brass spacers arranged on a stainless steel wire. A distinctive red sleeve is fitted over the shank of the treble hook, a classic visual trigger used by Mepps for decades. Originally invented in France by Andre Meulnart in 1938, these lures were assembled in the USA using imported French components. This example is in 5/5 condition, appearing remarkably clean with its original metal luster intact. The clevis and cone rotation system are engineered to facilitate the blade's rotation during a steady retrieve.
