A classic French-stamped brass blade characterizes this well-preserved #0 spinner. Tipping the scales at a mere 3/32 oz (2.5 g), it represents the finesse end of the Aglia spectrum. The brass blade features the iconic circular stamping with "MEPPS AGLIA" and "FRENCH PAT." lettering, a nod to the 1938 invention by Andre Meulnart. A vibrant red sleeve covers the shank of the treble hook, acting as a high-visibility target for trout or panfish. Assembled in the USA using components from France, this specimen (product code 16732) showcases the quality control that made Mepps a staple in the 1960s Wisconsin tackle scene. The gold-tone body beads and the precisely curved clevis are designed to facilitate rotation around the wire shaft. Holding a condition rating of 5/5, the metal shows a bright finish and the wire remains straight and true. The treble hook points are sharp, and the wire wrap at the top eyelet is tightly wound, reflecting the durability expected of this legendary series.
