Copper tones glint from the oval blade of this mid-century classic, which proudly displays the "MEPPS AGLIA" stamp alongside its French and British patent markings. Weighing in at a light 3/32 oz (2.5 g) and measuring 1 3/4" (4.5 cm) in length, this size 0 spinner represents the delicate end of the spectrum for ultra-light tackle enthusiasts. The solid brass body components are arranged on a sturdy wire frame, featuring a large spherical bead that provides ballast for precise casting toward bankside structure. A distinct red plastic sleeve covers the shank of the treble hook, providing a focused visual trigger that contrasts against the natural metallic finishes. While the components were manufactured in France, as per Andre Meulnart’s original 1938 design, this particular specimen, product code 23950, was assembled in the USA during the 1960s. The lure remains in excellent shape, earning a 4/5 rating for its clean metal surfaces and secure hardware. The blade is attached via a classic stirrup clevis, engineered to initiate rotation the moment the retrieve begins.
