Gold blade stampings featuring "BRITISH" and "FRENCH" patent marks designate this 1 3/4" (4.5 cm) spinner as a classic 1980s production from Mepps. Weighing only 3/32 oz (2.5 g), the lure is built on a sturdy wire frame that terminates in a sharp treble hook dressed with red hair and thread. Under product code 19994, this specimen highlights the transition period when components were manufactured in France—as noted by the "MADE IN FRANCE" stamp on the blade's reverse—and assembled in the USA. The body assembly includes solid brass beads and a small red spacer bead, providing a traditional visual profile. In its 4/5 condition, the gold finish retains its luster across the concave blade surface. A simple wire clevis secures the blade, allowing for rotation around the central axis as originally designed by Andre Meulnart. This small Aglia remains a staple for trout and panfish due to its lightweight construction and proven inline configuration.
