Stamped clearly on the silver blade, the "MEPPS AGLIA 0 MADE IN FRANCE" marking identifies this iconic spinner, cataloged under product code 22330. This lightweight specimen tips the scales at just 3/32 oz (2.5 g) and measures 1 3/4" (4.5 cm) in length, reflecting the precise design Andre Meulnart invented in France back in 1938. The assembly features a stack of brass beads and a cone-shaped weight that provide the necessary ballast for its ultra-light frame. Below the body, a sharp treble hook is shielded by a bright red sleeve, adding a classic visual strike point against the silver finish. Assembled in the USA using French components, the lure remains in 5/5 condition, showing well-preserved metal surfaces and a clean wire structure. The wide Aglia blade is mounted via a brass clevis, designed to rotate around the central axis even during a slow retrieve.
